Ermysted’s Grammar School is a voluntary aided, selective grammar school for boys aged 11-18.

Admissions to Ermysted’s

The Governors of the School are responsible for the admissions of pupils to Ermysted’s Grammar School and welcome applications from parents of boys who live in Skipton and further afield. Please choose from the menus above for more information on the admissions process for entry into Year 7, Years 8-11 or the Sixth Form.

As a parent/carer of a child of compulsory school age, you have a legal duty to make sure they receive full time education that is suitable for their age and ability. Under the Education Act 2002, your Local Authority must make arrangements to help you decide which school you prefer your child to go to. It is important that you fill in a Common Application Form (available from your Local Authority) to tell your Local Authority which schools you prefer. An electronic guide for parents is available from North Yorkshire LEA. Click here to access.
