The Local Labour Market information for North Yorkshire

Labour Market Information (LMI) demonstrates facts and figures about jobs and employment at present and in the future. The labour market is the term used to describe the number of people working and looking for work, and the number of jobs available in the region in specific work sectors. This could be of use to indicate areas of growth and may help to inform decisions made regarding future career paths.

Here is the information for our local region. In addition, industries that are expected to grow in the York and North Yorkshire region can be found within this booklet Shape Your Future (NYBEP 2021) It includes details about current salaries, skills needed for each sector, and examples of the local businesses within each work sector.

“I have been impressed by the opportunities for enrichment at Ermysted’s, and the level of guidance in careers and higher education pathways.
